Terms of service

1. Who we are

PintoPrint is a trading name of Pynto Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 04557824, VAT registration GB 438 5641 72, at 6 Higher Street, Hatherleigh, Okehampton, Devon EX20 3JD. You can contact us at hello@pintoprint.uk or 01837 811277.

2. These terms

These terms apply to every order placed through pintoprint.uk. By placing an order you agree to them. If you are ordering on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and section 13 applies to you.

3. Placing an order

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send the order confirmation email, at which point a contract is formed. We may refuse an order, for example where artwork appears unlawful, infringes someone's rights, or cannot be printed to an acceptable standard. If we refuse, we refund anything you have paid.

4. Prices, VAT and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT at the applicable rate and UK delivery to one address, unless stated otherwise. Some printed items are zero-rated for VAT under UK law; the VAT applied to each item is shown at checkout and on your invoice. Payment is taken in full at checkout. We do not offer credit terms unless agreed in writing.

5. Artwork and your responsibilities

  • We print the artwork you upload. You are responsible for its content, spelling, layout, colour set-up, bleed and resolution.
  • Our automated file check looks for common technical problems. It is not a proof and does not check spelling, content, colour or design. If you want us to check or prepare your artwork, ask before you order.
  • You confirm that you own or are licensed to use everything in your artwork, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that it is not unlawful, defamatory or obscene. You will indemnify us against claims arising from your artwork.
  • Once your order is in production we cannot change or replace artwork.

6. Colour, materials and quantities

  • Print colour varies between screens, print runs and materials. Small variation from your screen, a previous order or a proof is normal and is not a defect.
  • We may substitute a material of equivalent or better quality if the one ordered is unavailable, and will tell you if the change is visible.
  • Print runs may be over or under the ordered quantity by up to 5%. Shortfalls of more than that are reprinted or refunded pro rata.

7. Delivery

  • Delivery dates shown at checkout are estimates based on the turnaround you choose. We will do our best to meet them but they are not guaranteed.
  • If your order contains more than one product, each product may arrive separately with its own tracking.
  • Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please check parcels on arrival and report damage or shortages as described in section 9.
  • If a delivery fails because the address you gave was wrong or nobody accepted it, redelivery may be charged.

8. Cancellation and changes

Printed items are made to your specification, so the 14-day cancellation right in the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply to them. Orders go into production quickly, often within minutes of being placed, so we cannot promise that an order can be cancelled or changed once it has been submitted. If you need to cancel, phone us immediately on 01837 811277 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) quoting your order number. If production has not started we will cancel the order and refund it in full; if it has, we will tell you what, if anything, can still be done, and any costs already incurred will be deducted from any refund. Please check your artwork, quantity and delivery address carefully before you pay.

9. Problems with your order

If anything is wrong with your order, tell us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photographs. Where the fault is ours or our supplier's, we will reprint the affected items or refund them, at our choice. We are not responsible for errors that were present in the artwork you supplied, including spelling, low-resolution images, missing bleed or colour set-up. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Our liability

We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or our negligence. We are not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, lost contracts or lost opportunity, or for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was formed. Our total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

11. Intellectual property

You keep the rights in your artwork. Any artwork, templates or designs we create for you remain ours until paid for in full, and then transfer to you unless we agree otherwise in writing. We may keep a copy of your files for reorders and our records.

12. Your data

We use your details to fulfil your order, including sharing your name and delivery address with our print and delivery partners. We do not share your email address with them. Our privacy policy at pintoprint.uk/policies/privacy-policy explains more.

13. Business customers

If you order in the course of a business, sections 8 and 9 apply with the following changes: cancellation after production starts is not available; claims must be made within 7 days of delivery; and the Sale of Goods Act implied terms are excluded to the extent the law allows.

14. General

We may update these terms; the version on the site when you order applies. If any part is found invalid the rest continues to apply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring claims in their local courts.
